LA NAVE MESSENGER

Esta sonda artificial de la NASA pasara a 200 km ( extremadamente cerca ) del planeta MERCURIO el proximo miercoles 14 de Enero. Lleva 7 instrumentos de medicion y se espera entre en orbita definitiva de ese planeta en Marzo del 2011.

Antes pasara nuevamente cerca de Mercurio en los llamados flyby en Octubre del 2008 y Septiembre del 2009, antes de su insercion definitiva en orbita en el 2011.

Se espera tome alrededor de 1200 fotos, a parte por su puesto de las mediciones que hara con sus instrumentos.

La Nasa no visitaba este planeta desde hace 33 años.
